Hi All,
It's been a while since i updated the blog but i only try and put really useful information up on the blog so that's my excuse.
The topic of Nocturnal dialysis is floating about now allot so with myself being on Nocturnal dialysis now since early March 2014 and i must say it has really changed my life i decided i better tell you all about it Francishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18301425148019948192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5515288452426194792.post-37394050302610720322012-05-18T14:17:00.003-07:002012-05-18T14:24:47.358-07:00

All you need to do is get your paper work completed by your hospital and send it to the contact i was told by a few people "going to France Francishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18301425148019948192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5515288452426194792.post-87684644348430361392011-02-08T13:03:00.000-08:002011-02-08T13:03:41.454-08:00So far so goodSo far so good tomorrow will be my fourth session at home and I've had no problems. I've settled in fine at home and getting use to it now.
I also have to put in my first order to Baxter so I'll need to do a quick stock take to see what i need having all the stock in my room make this handy as i can do it while on dialysis and it gives me something to past the time.Francishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18301425148019948192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5515288452426194792.post-87684796562543946022011-02-08T12:50:00.000-08:002011-02-08T12:56:14.189-08:00Sessions one at HomeHome Dialysis is now up and running, I've attached pictures off the machine, chair, stacking trolley and the RO
This is the machine as you can see it looks worst than it is but once you get to know it you'll feel allot better.
This is the RO for cleaning the water. If you look behind it you'll see a small black tank for water storage. The RO must be turned off after each dialysis session Francishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18301425148019948192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5515288452426194792.post-43848382348835450302011-01-26T13:10:00.000-08:002011-01-26T13:12:14.114-08:00Last 2 sessions & First Stock Delivery ExpectedWere as the time gone there is only 2 more session left for me before i move home. But allot has been going on in the back ground to prepare for me to be able to do dialysis at home.
Just to recap and what you'll be expecting before you move home.

They did a very tidy job and i was very please with the work man ship.
This is the finished room, the lino is non slip and i got it from a local flooring shop.Francishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18301425148019948192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5515288452426194792.post-88079616888199883552011-01-18T13:34:00.000-08:002011-01-18T13:34:37.278-08:00The Builders Day 1
Today the Builders came to make the modifications to the room. The first thing i seen was the new tripswtich in the hall this is the single tripswtich thats required so that your not on the same box as the rest of the house. The Small box on the left is the new tripswtich.
The room requires a shower tray for the dialysis machine to sit on and as you can see the tray is neat and tidy. However the home dialysis machine is a little different then the other machine but its the same concept in setting up. So if nothing else get use to the terminology, and get to know what dialyzer ,bi cart and concentrate your on.Francishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18301425148019948192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5515288452426194792.post-43776965852963281912011-01-10T13:57:00.000-08:002011-01-18T13:36:05.450-08:00BinsBins
Baxter have delivered all my bins there is one big outside bin and i was happy to see it was GREEN and just had a yellow lid. The other bins are inside bins and can be kept in the room until they are full and then placed in the larger outside bin.
1 Large green bin
4 small yellow bins
2 needle bins
1 roll of yellow bags.Francishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18301425148019948192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5515288452426194792.post-61503453076758561522011-01-10T13:47:00.000-08:002011-01-18T13:36:34.434-08:00Session 3 & 4Session 3 & 4
Session 3 was a very interesting one for me as one of my needles fell out otherwise knowing as a blowing needle. Now don't panic and that's what i did not do as cool as anything i was able to stop bleeding but luckily the nurse was there and she was able to help me do the recirculation. In the mean time i stopped bleeding and was able to re needle again and get on and get Francishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18301425148019948192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5515288452426194792.post-87098560415723825942011-01-05T13:26:00.000-08:002011-01-18T13:38:26.830-08:00Session 2
Session 2Wednesday 5th was my second session.I washed, weighted and clean the trolley as showed on Monday. I got to line the machine and connect up the bi cart and concentrate to the machine and then prime it. I had to take full monthly bloods today so i was shown how to take the bloods.I then connected to the machine and then the nurse explained more to me about the machine and the user Francishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18301425148019948192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5515288452426194792.post-89844603408323589752011-01-05T13:24:00.000-08:002011-01-18T13:37:22.272-08:00TrainingMonday 3rd was my first session on the new machine. Session 1
The first thing I was taught how to wash my hands properly and to take my weight important to note to either leave shoes on or take them off but please be consistent. The machine was already prepare for me. I cleaned the trolley and then open my connection and disconnection packs to have them ready. I was also given proper Francishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18301425148019948192noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5515288452426194792.post-43807483663877200842010-12-21T14:32:00.000-08:002011-01-18T13:37:41.530-08:00The House and RoomWhen you decide to go on home dialysis you’ll most likely need a spare room unless you prefer to have you machine in the the living room which i would not suggest. So a spare room is the best option my room is about 7ft by 11ft which is the perfect size for everything apart from stock so you’ll need to have some spare space for it also.
Initial home visit by Nurse & Baxter.
